Insanity

I stood on the precipice
Just past the final threshold
The stars were shining brightly
That no cloud was able to dim them

I balanced on the end of the stick
Just a bit before the last millimeter
The water below was hot, I could sense it,
That no amount of ice would stop it from boiling

I was on the top of the skyscraper
Just a step under the baby blue sky
I glanced below, and thought,
Maybe I would float if I threw myself down

I stood on the precipice
Just past the final threshold
I dreamt like I never dreamt before
I sang like I never sang before

I listened to the moon

The King of the World

I am the King of the World. The World is under my command. The Mountains are my generals and the Seas are my marshals. The Sky is my one true advisor and the Earth is my empress. The Wind blows on my command, the Rain falls once my lips part and the Grounds shake upon my wish. And humans are my people; in a way, my pawns, though I regard them highly. I respect them, and I wish for them to respect me. I treat them based on how they treat me. They play fair, I play fair. They do good, I do good. But once they dirty my marshals, or misuse my generals, or even worse: disturb my empress -- they shall receive none other than my wrath.

I am the King of the World. My army is on the land and in the water, in the sky and in the soil. All trees are my majors and all animals that walk and crawl on earth my captains. The birds that fly in the sky are my agents and the creatures in the sea my faithful followers.

I am Nature, and God give me the power to take care of the planet.

I am the King of the World.

Your Life

You were abandoned
You were uncared for
You were not paid attention to
You had no friends
You had no one
You were caged
You feared
You were alone

You couldn't speak
Because you had no one to speak to
You couldn't scream
Because you had no one to hear you
You couldn't cry
You didn't dare to
Because there was no shoulder for you to cry on
Because you were afraid to be weak

Now you are free
Now you have people who care
Now you have a goal
Now you have a mission
You are no longer abandoned
You are no longer alone
You spread your wings
You aim from the sky
You fly

Hallucination, the World of Lies

Hallucination, the world of lies
The place we reside within
The place where everyone goes and dies
Where everyone could never stop the sin

Hallucination, the world of lies
Pretending to speak the words of truth
Lies in every corners, lies in every sides
This sadness in the hearts, it can never soothe

Hallucination, the world of lies
Bring me to somewhere happy
Though only in dreams of clouds and skies
I do not care, for I'm as innocent as a puppy

The Music In My Heart

The music in my heart, it will never stop playing
Just like the currents of a river that will never stop flowing
The melodies in the songs wash my tears away
Melting my heart in the process, directing it that way

The music in my heart, so light and entertaining
The soft notes played so delicately that I have this soothing feeling
The music in my heart, full of joy throughout the day
Something too precious for a thing I don't pay

The music in my heart, please never stop
The last note in the song, please never drop
My companion of life, please never leave
My companion of joy, remain here throughout the eve

The Ones We Cherish, The Ones We Protect

The shield of fear I penetrate
The blade of curse I break
Corps of the enemy, I bravely kill
Corpse of the enemy, I mean to dispose

The ones we cherish, the ones we protect
The ones we love, the ones we would never forget
Tiny little steps, slowly but surely beating heart
Hearts of angels reside within the bodies of humans

The shield of fear I penetrate
The blade of curse I break
The burden of promise I bear
For the sake of the ones I cherish and the ones I protect

I will never lose

The Art of Life

See the sky glows with blue paint
And the trees shimmer in green pastel

See the beginning of our days are greeted
With crimson and amber rays of crayon

The air is filled with music
Be it the simple tunes of the birds
Or the rock played by the honking cars

Our lives are sketched very carefully
With different shades of white and gray

Watch God painting the clouds of our life
With different shades of white and gray

A Macbeth Poem

Note: Originally done for an English Literature assignment, but it didn't match the criteria, so I made another. Untitled.

The enemy, here the come
Attacking us, attacking us!
Kerns and gallowglasses
and tribes of the Western Island
Here they march
All led by the traitorous Macdownwald

Then you came. The man on the horse,
Sword in your hand
Looking ever ruthless, ever courageous
To defend our precious King
You charged through the lines of the enemy
Killing them all

In front of Macdonwald you stood
Proudly, bravely, fearlessly
Not much of a talk
Before (at last) you ripped him
From his naval to his chest
And fixed his ugly head to the spear

And 'Macbeth! Macbeth!'
People all chorused your name
The person that became their hero
Your bravery they praise so highly
Your loyalty they all hail
Your courage to defend the King
Shall never be forgotten, but we wonder:
Will you ever betray us?
Like every other men who used to be heroes.

We wonder. We wait. We shall see.

For The Future of Rome

Characters: Cassius, and mentions of the others
Rating: K+
Note: Done for an English Literature homework about a year ago. I tried to write Cassius in a different light, as required in the homework. Everything is in Cassius's POV
Word Count: 255

Julius Caesar has always been my deepest concern.

My name is Cassius, and Caesar, obviously, is not one of those who I'd support to become the next King. The man is greatly ambitious. He has always wanted the crown. The throne. That man is greedy and very selfish. He also lacks respect. Remember when he didn't stand up to honour the other senators last time? That showed us his arrogance. Greatly arrogant. What would happen to Rome when it gets a King like that? We need to get rid of Caesar, so he won't become a threat to our country.

There is another man, a great, noble man. Brutus is his name. He is very strong, even much stronger than Caesar, whom he works for. He is a very kind man. Caesar is no match for him. It is a real pity that Brutus has never tried to oppose Caesar or such. Brutus would become the perfect future King. Why should Caesar become the future King when we have a much better man? If they fought, Brutus would be able to beat Caesar into a pulp. This man is a guarantee that Rome would have a better future. I should tell him all these, and persuade him to work with me and my plan, my plan to get rid of Caesar. Brutus is what we need. What Rome needs.

Yes, Brutus is the most essential key to my plan. This might not be the wisest decision, but this is for the sake of Rome!
